    • Albina moved to Hastings, Nebraska when she was 8 years with parents where she got her education. She and Fred ran off and got married in Hanson Neb. His brother Glenn and wife Pearl were wittnesses. at their marriage z9they ran off and got married). In 1927 she and Fred and children moved to Washington where they owned a Singer Sewing machine company. they lived in several town. Olympia and Longview were two of their homes. In 1932 they moved to Chico. She was a member of the First Christian Church for 66years and Sunday School teacher for 40yrs.
      Siblings of Albina : Roy J. born in Bloomington Ill. 4 25.1876 died May 29 59 He married Clara Children Leland L. Lewiston (Lenland Lucas came to Washinton and brought his Yellow cat) lived in Ashland Oregon late in life.Rolla lived in Chico , Ethan P.in San Francisco, Aral M in Ft Bragg, Audrey in Chico, Des Moines,Washington, Wanetta P Myers in San Rafael, Fairy Ramos Sacramento,and Illa Peterson, in Redding .
      Roy and Albina were always very close and lived near each in Nebraska and on the homestead in Wyoming and in Chico. Albina's father also lived on land next to Roy in Wyoming and moved with them to Washington and later Chico.
      Pearl married Norris Waldren and they a daughter Helen who married Earl Bay in Washington a couisn on the Bay side no children. Norris Waldren was a Dr in Southern California. Ira in Portland, Oregon. Children Bill in Oregon and Elizabeth . At the time of death her brother Ira lived in Hillboro Oregon.

      1900 CENSUS Called Bina Fred always called her Bina rather than Albina. They built a large home on Rose Ave next to Big Chico Creek next to the bridge. They moved r into a two bedroom house on Palm Ave. between E. 1St Ave and Sacramento Ave. when the boys had all left home. Dorothy and Helen both lived at home for some years until they both moved to Sacramento together and each married.
      She worked outside the home at the Singer Sewing machine shop in Washington and in an office ( have photo of her at a switchboard, but do not know where it was taken). Her father lived near them in Nebraska and Wyoming and also in Chico, as did her brother Roy and his family.
      1910 CENSUS shows Albina Poore (Pose) in Cedar Nebraska no children yet. Census says township B, Seward, Nebraska.
      1920 CENSUS Living in Allen, Goshen, Wyoming (name spelled Albana, Alana) shse is 33 years old and Howard is a newborn and Bob is 2, harold is 4, Dorothy is 6 and Morrie (Morrel) is 9 years old.
      1930 CENSUS Abina and family are living in Centralia, Lewis, Washington she was 42 years old and all the children were living at home

      Albina liked to wear jewery and pretty underware and nice clothes in her later years as she had not been able to do any of that while raising a family. Always had her hair fixed. Good cook, everything from scratch.

      “Funeral services will be held in the Van Hook Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM Tuesdayd for Albina Lucas Poore 82 of 1024 Palm Ave, who died in a local convalescent hospital Saturday. She at the age of 8 years moved with her parents to Nebraska. she was reared and received her education at Hastings Ne. In 1909 she was maarried to Fred D. Poore in Hanson, Ne and in 1927 moved with her family to the state of Washington (oiving in Longview and Olympia
      . In 1932 the family moved to Chico.
      She has been an avid worker in the First Christian Church, being a member for 66 years. She taught Sunday school for 40 years. She was a past decon and president of the CWF group and chairman of various committees.
      survivors include her husband,4sons, Maurice of Chico, Harol, Robert and Howard, 2 daughters Mrs. Dorothy Ihle of Chico and Mrs Helen Midgley of Bakersfield. One brother Ira W Lucas of Hillsboro Oregon, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Glen Oaks Menorial Park on Hagen Lane in Chico, Ca.
